It has been a long time, but Apple could finally eliminate the divisive notch with the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, replacing it with a drilling holes chamber, the same solution, almost all Android phones have been used for years.
That is according to Jon Prosser, who shared some unofficial renders of what the iPhone 14 Pro Max will supposedly be seen. It is a surprising design, since the face ID requires more than the only small lens shown here, but Prosser counts the other components that are hidden under the screen.
And it is not just the lack of a notch that is different here, the protrusion of the camera has also gone mostly, with the lenses sitting almost flush with the back. Apparently, this has been achieved simply by making the iPhone 14 Pro Max thicker. Prosser does not say exactly the thick, but it suggests that it is much thicker than 7.4 mm thick iPhone 12 Pro Max.
You can also see a triple lenses camera along with a LIDAR scanner, as is the iPhone 12 Pro Max, a semi-glossy glass back (with the Apple logo sitting under the glass), the round volume buttons (like the iPhone 4), and a titanium chassis apparently, instead of stainless steel.
