Pantera Pico PC review

Pantera Pico PC review

According to BIO, XDO Tech is collaboration between engineers, programmers and industrial designers, all of which love computer devices.

It does not mention if they are good as this passion or what they have done before, but the sample they provided for review shows that they have some skills to design and assemble complex devices.

We have seen the Intel NUC designs and impressed us how a PC can be compressed into something that can be compressed, but these are Gargantuanos compared to the PT Pantra PC that XDO has created.

But is this micro size simply a trick, or is the PC peak that the bell sounds in the era of a sitting floor PC?

Price and availability.

This product is not released through the usual model of retail availability. Instead, it is being distributed using a Kickstarter campaign.

And, as they generally involve Kickstarters, you can invest in this project and depending on the level of investment, you will get a better PC PC should succeed the campaign.

We should point out that if it is not, then you may not get anything regardless of what level of support it provides. It is not guaranteed that KickStarts succeed, and from a certain perspective, it is the game.

The cheapest promise does not get a PC PC, but only the warm blurry sensation that helped some Hong Kong businessmen by giving them 100 HK $ (around £ 10).

Promise 1,159hk $ (£ 108 or $ 149), and gets a Pantera PC PC of a selection of colors with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM. And, if this design is available on retail after the campaign is finished, it will cost approximately $ 210.

The next level offers 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD for 1.391hk $ (£ 130 or $ 170), and above that price, the amount of RAM and storage increases progressively. They also offer “double packages” where you get two and even a package where you include another of your Kickstarter products, a peak projector.

Currently, they predict that machines will be sent in November, and those interested in supporting this campaign will find it here.

Our revision hardware was the 8 GB RAM and the SSD combination of 256 GB, and an XDO brand folding keyboard was also included, an EVO EVA case and a small sleeh-free transport box.

These accessory items cost around $ 20 each and can be added when choosing a system. The PC PC also comes in seven colors to choose from.

Design

To say that this PC is small is an underestimation, since it is difficult to imagine that it could be done much smaller and still has space on the surface for the ports it requires to operate.

The slightly crushed cube measures only 69 mm wide, 69 mm deep, and only 53 mm tall, and that small box contains the entire system, including the CPU, the GPU, RAM and storage.

The power comes from a USB-C power supply that emits 12V to 2A, as well as a typical telephone charger. With that power connection, it is possible to feed this system with a phone / tablet power package in an emergency.

The front face has the ignition button, vents, a restart hole, a microSD card slot and two USB 3.0 ports. Everything else is connected to the rear, including the USB-C power input, rear ventilation, two more USB ports (3.0 and 2.0), a 3.5 mm and HDMI OUT headphone jack.

The circulation of air seems to be passive, making it silently in operation. The upper part of the PC peak has an acrylic panel with the OCX logo that is illuminated when the unit is turned on.

The harbor we expected to see, but it was not a port of Lan Gigabit, but the PC PC has WiFi included, so it can be connected without this feature. Or you can use one of the USB 3.0 ports with an adapter to add it.

Our revision machine came with Windows 10 pre-installed, but XDO will put Linux if you prefer that operating system.
